Genesis 27:45


Until thy brother's anger turn away from thee, and he forget [that] which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived [bereaved] also of you both in one day?

Geneva Bible - nd till thy brother’s wrath turn away from thee, and he forget the things,
which thou hast done to him. Then will I send and take thee from thence. Why
should I be (n) deprived of you both in one day?
(n) For the wicked son will kill the godly; and the plague of God will afterward light on the wicked
son.

Genesis 27:44


And tarry [stay] with him a few days, until thy brother's fury turn away;

Geneva Bible - And tarry with him a while until thy brother’s fierceness be swayed,

Genesis 27:43


Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;

Genesis 27:42


And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee [concerning thee], doth comfort himself, [purposing] to kill thee.

Geneva Bible - And it was told to Rebekah of the words of Esau her elder son, and she sent
and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau
(m) is comforted against thee, meaning to kill thee;
(m) He hath good hope to recover his birthright by killing thee.

Genesis 27:41


And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

Geneva Bible - Therefore Esau hated Jacob, because of the blessing, wherewith his father
blessed him. And Esau thought in his mind, (*) The days of mourning for my
father will come shortly, (l) then I will slay may brother Jacob.
(*) Obadiah 1:10 .
(l) Hypocrites only abstain from doing evil for fear of men.
