Major Events in the Bible

When shall the end come?

And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with
goodly stones and gifts, he said, {21:6} [As for] these things which ye
behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one
stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

The Question:
{21:7} And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what
sign [will there be] when these things shall come to pass?

Answer Part I:  False Christ's to come
{21:8} And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my
name, saying, I am [Christ;] and the time draweth near: go ye not
therefore after them.

Answer Part II:  War's to come, but the end is not yet
{21:9} But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end [is] not by and by. {21:10} Then said he unto them, Nation
shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

Answer Part III:  Earthquakes, famines, pestilence and signs from the heavens
{21:11} And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and
pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from
heaven.

Answer Part IV: persecutions (These will come BEFORE the signs)
{21:12} But before all these, they shall lay their hands on
you, and persecute [you,] delivering [you] up to the synagogues, and
into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
{21:13} And it shall turn to you for a testimony. {21:14} Settle [it]
therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
{21:15} For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your
adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. {21:16} And ye
shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and
friends; and [some] of you shall they cause to be put to death. {21:17}
And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake. {21:18} But
there shall not an hair of your head perish. {21:19} In your patience
possess ye your souls.

Answer Part V:  Fall of Jerusalem (End not yet)
{21:20} And when ye shall see Jerusalem
compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
{21:21} Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and
let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that
are in the countries enter thereinto. {21:22} For these be the days of
vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. {21:23}
But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in
those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath
upon this people. {21:24} And they shall fall by the edge of the sword,
and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be
trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be
fulfilled.

Answer Part VI:  Signs in the sun, moon and stars
{21:25} And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in
the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the
sea and the waves roaring; {21:26} Men's hearts failing them for fear,
and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for
the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Answer Part VII:  Now look up for Christ
{21:27} And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. {21:28}And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up
your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. {

Answer Part VIII:  Parable of the Fig Tree
21:29} And he spake to
them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; {21:30} When
they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is
now nigh at hand. {21:31} So likewise ye, when ye see these things come
to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. {21:32}
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be
fulfilled. {21:33} Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall
not pass away.

Answer Part IX:  Final warning to remain sober
{21:34} And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be
overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life,
and so that day come upon you unawares. {21:35} For as a snare shall it
come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. {21:36}
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to
escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before
the Son of man.

The Song of Moses:

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth,
the words of my mouth. {32:2} My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my
speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb,
and as the showers upon the grass: {32:3} Because I will publish the
name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. {32:4} [He is] the
Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of
truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he. {32:5} They have
corrupted themselves, their spot [is] not [the spot] of his children:
[they are] a perverse and crooked generation. {32:6} Do ye thus requite
the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? [is] not he thy father [that]
hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

{32:7} Remember the days of old, consider the years of many
generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and
they will tell thee. {32:8} When the most High divided to the nations
their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the
bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
{32:9} For the LORD'S portion [is] his people; Jacob [is] the lot of
his inheritance. {32:10} He found him in a desert land, and in the
waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept
him as the apple of his eye. {32:11} As an eagle stirreth up her nest,
fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them,
beareth them on her wings: {32:12} [So] the LORD alone did lead him,
and [there was] no strange god with him. {32:13} He made him ride on
the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the
fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of
the flinty rock; {32:14} Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of
lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of
kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

{32:15} But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou
art grown thick, thou art covered [with fatness;] then he forsook God
[which] made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
{32:16} They provoked him to jealousy with strange [gods,] with
abominations provoked they him to anger. {32:17} They sacrificed unto
devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new [gods that] came
newly up, whom your fathers feared not. {32:18} Of the Rock [that]
begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
{32:19} And when the LORD saw [it,] he abhorred [them,] because of the
provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. {32:20} And he said, I
will hide my face from them, I will see what their end [shall be:] for
they [are] a very froward generation, children in whom [is] no faith.
{32:21} They have moved me to jealousy with [that which is] not God;
they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move
them to jealousy with [those which are] not a people; I will provoke
them to anger with a foolish nation. {32:22} For a fire is kindled in
mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the
earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the
mountains. {32:23} I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine
arrows upon them. {32:24} [They shall be] burnt with hunger, and
devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also
send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the
dust. {32:25} The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both
the young man and the virgin, the suckling [also] with the man of gray
hairs. {32:26} I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make
the remembrance of them to cease from among men: {32:27} Were it not
that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should
behave themselves strangely, [and] lest they should say, Our hand is
high, and the LORD hath not done all this. {32:28} For they [are] a
nation void of counsel, neither [is there any] understanding in them.
{32:29} O that they were wise, [that] they understood this, [that] they
would consider their latter end! {32:30} How should one chase a
thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had
sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? {32:31} For their rock [is]
not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves [being] judges. {32:32}
For their vine [is] of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of
Gomorrah: their grapes [are] grapes of gall, their clusters [are]
bitter: {32:33} Their wine [is] the poison of dragons, and the cruel
venom of asps. {32:34} [Is] not this laid up in store with me, [and]
sealed up among my treasures? {32:35} To me [belongeth] vengeance, and
recompence; their foot shall slide in [due] time: for the day of their
calamity [is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make
haste. {32:36} For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself
for his servants, when he seeth that [their] power is gone, and [there
is] none shut up, or left. {32:37} And he shall say, Where [are] their
gods, [their] rock in whom they trusted, {32:38} Which did eat the fat
of their sacrifices, [and] drank the wine of their drink offerings? let
them rise up and help you, [and] be your protection. {32:39} See now
that I, [even] I, [am] he, and [there is] no god with me: I kill, and I
make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither [is there any] that can
deliver out of my hand. {32:40} For I lift up my hand to heaven, and
say, I live for ever. {32:41} If I whet my glittering sword, and mine
hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies,
and will reward them that hate me. {32:42} I will make mine arrows
drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; [and that] with the
blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges
upon the enemy. {32:43} Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: for
he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to
his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, [and] to his
people.

The curse before entering the Promised land:
Deuteronomy 27:14 - 27:26:
And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of
Israel with a loud voice, {27:15} Cursed [be] the man that maketh [any]
graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the
hands of the craftsman, and putteth [it] in [a] secret [place.] And all
the people shall answer and say, Amen. {27:16} Cursed [be] he that
setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall
say, Amen. {27:17} Cursed [be] he that removeth his neighbour's
landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen. {27:18} Cursed [be] he
that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people
shall say, Amen. {27:19} Cursed [be] he that perverteth the judgment of
the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say,
Amen. {27:20} Cursed [be] he that lieth with his father's wife; because
he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.
{27:21} Cursed [be] he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the
people shall say, Amen. {27:22} Cursed [be] he that lieth with his
sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And
all the people shall say, Amen. {27:23} Cursed [be] he that lieth with
his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen. {27:24} Cursed
[be] he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall
say, Amen. {27:25} Cursed [be] he that taketh reward to slay an
innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen. {27:26} Cursed
[be] he that confirmeth not [all] the words of this law to do them. And
all the people shall say, Amen.

The law of clean and unclean AFTER the promised land:
Deuteronomy 12:15 and 12:20:

{12:15} Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart. {12:16} Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.

{12:20} When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

Now, while they are in the wilderness, they are told clean things and unclean things, and they cannot eat of the unclean things.  But here, when they are about to enter the promised land, they are told by God they may eat whatever they want, just not the blood (just like in the days of Noah).  I think most people, including JEWS, still follow the wilderness tradition, and that is not what God says...

What the nations of Canaan did to cause them to be destroyed:

Deuteronomy, 12:29-12:31
When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before
thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and
dwellest in their land; {12:30} Take heed to thyself that thou be not
snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before
thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these
nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. {12:31} Thou
shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the
LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their
sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

The End of the World
Matthew Chapter 24:

{24:1} And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his
disciples came to [him] for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
{24:2} And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I
say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that
shall not be thrown down.
{24:3} And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came
unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and
what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
{24:4} And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man
deceive you. {24:5} For many shall come in my name, saying, I am
Christ; and shall deceive many. {24:6} And ye shall hear of wars and
rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things]
must come to pass, but the end is not yet. {24:7} For nation shall rise
against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be
famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. {24:8} All
these [are] the beginning of sorrows. {24:9} Then shall they deliver
you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of
all nations for my name's sake. {24:10} And then shall many be
offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
{24:11} And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
{24:12} And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax
cold. {24:13} But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be
saved. {24:14} And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all
the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
{24:15} When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso
readeth, let him understand:) {24:16} Then let them which be in Judaea
flee into the mountains: {24:17} Let him which is on the housetop not
come down to take any thing out of his house: {24:18} Neither let him
which is in the field return back to take his clothes. {24:19} And woe
unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those
days! {24:20} But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter,
neither on the sabbath day: {24:21} For then shall be great
tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this
time, no, nor ever shall be. {24:22} And except those days should be
shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake
those days shall be shortened. {24:23} Then if any man shall say unto
you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not. {24:24} For
there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew
great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they
shall deceive the very elect. {24:25} Behold, I have told you before.
{24:26} Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, [he is] in the
desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe
[it] not. {24:27} For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and
shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be. {24:28} For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be
gathered together.
{24:29} Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the
sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars
shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
{24:30} And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and
then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the
Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
{24:31} And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one
end of heaven to the other. {24:32} Now learn a parable of the fig
tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know
that summer is nigh: {24:33} So likewise ye, when ye shall see all
these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors. {24:34} Verily
I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things
be fulfilled. {24:35} Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words
shall not pass away.
{24:36} But of that day and hour knoweth no [man,] no, not the
angels of heaven, but my Father only. {24:37} But as the days of Noe
[were,] so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. {24:38} For as
in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into
the ark, {24:39} And knew not until the flood came, and took them all
away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. {24:40} Then shall
two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
{24:41} Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be
taken, and the other left.
{24:42} Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth
come. {24:43} But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known
in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would
not have suffered his house to be broken up. {24:44} Therefore be ye
also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
{24:45} Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath
made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? {24:46}
Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so
doing. {24:47} Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over
all his goods. {24:48} But and if that evil servant shall say in his
heart, My lord delayeth his coming; {24:49} And shall begin to smite
[his] fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; {24:50}
The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for
[him,] and in an hour that he is not aware of, {24:51} And shall cut
him asunder, and appoint [him] his portion with the hypocrites: there
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

How God deals with murmurers against his chosen ones:

Numbers Chapter 12:
{12:1} And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the
Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian
woman. {12:2} And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses?
hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard [it. ]{12:3} (Now the
man Moses [was] very meek, above all the men which [were] upon the face
of the earth.) {12:4} And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto
Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the
congregation. And they three came out. {12:5} And the LORD came down in
the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and
called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. {12:6} And he said,
Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, [I] the LORD will
make myself known unto him in a vision, [and] will speak unto him in a
dream. {12:7} My servant Moses [is] not so, who [is] faithful in all
mine house. {12:8} With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even
apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD
shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my
servant Moses? {12:9} And the anger of the LORD was kindled against
them; and he departed. {12:10} And the cloud departed from off the
tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam [became] leprous, [white] as snow: and
Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, [she was] leprous.

How the Lord protected the Israelites in the wilderness:

Numbers 9:15
And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud
covered the tabernacle, [namely,] the tent of the testimony: and at
even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire,
until the morning. {9:16} So it was alway: the cloud covered it [by
day,] and the appearance of fire by night.

Why the nations were destroyed before Israel:

Leviticus 20:23

And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all
these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

"These things" included:
Sexual perversion
Sacrificing their children to false gods
tatoos, cuttings in their flesh
dishonoring parents
withcraft, satanism

The Temptation:

Genesis 3:1 thru 3:6

Now the serpent was more subtil [cunning] than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods [God], knowing good and evil.

And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant [a desireable thing] to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Money Lending at Interest (Usury):

Exodus 22:25
If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer [money lender], neither shalt thou lay upon him usury [interest]

Vegetarians at first:

Genesis 1:30

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life [a living soul], [I have given] every green herb for meat [food]: and it was so.

Genesis 1:29

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing [yielding] seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat [food].

Man is created:

Genesis 1:26

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:7

And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The creatures of Land

Genesis 1:25

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.

Genesis 1:24

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

The creation of the sea creatures and birds

Genesis 1:23

And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Genesis 1:22

And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in
the earth.

Genesis 1:21

And God created great whales [sea creatures], and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly [abounded], after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly [abound with an abundance of living creatures] the moving creature that hath life, and fowl [that] may fly [let birds fly] above the earth in the open firmament [across the face of the expanse] of heaven.
The creation and purpose of the Sun and the Moon

Genesis 1:16

And God made two great lights [luminaries]; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.

Genesis 1:18

And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that [it was] good.

Genesis 1:17

And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Genesis 1:19

{1:19} And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

The creation and purpose of the lights in the sky

Genesis 1:14

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
