And he set the rods which he
had pilled [peeled] before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs
when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came
to drink.
Geneva Bible - Then he put the rods, which he had pilled, in the gutters and watering
troughs, when the sheep came to drink, before the sheep. (For they were in heat,
when they came to drink.)
